Thank you Dan, for sharing your insight on the time you spent with Liam. I’m in my 50’s and know very little about him, in fact I’d struggle to name all the members of 1D, but nonetheless I’m saddened that he died far from his home and family and even more sad for his loved ones, especially his little boy.

They say that there’s a price to be paid for everything in life, and it strikes me that fame, has a very high price indeed. Money, adulation, the lifestyle, all the trappings of success, but at the end of the day, I have to wonder how many would trade it all in, because it doesn’t look like it brings much happiness.

It is very sad, in some ways he reminds me of Robbie Williams who couldnt handle the fame at such a young age. There just doesnt seem to be the support there for youngsters and all the managers seem to worry about is the money they make off the bands. May Liam be at peace now.

Heartbreaking for those close to Liam, but especially for his young son who's lost his daddy.

Many young people dream of "fame and money," only to discover it also brings loneliness from being used & taken advantage of by those who control the busine$$.

Accountability? He was held to account for his own actions but those who took the young boys and exploited him are never held to account in this life.

I am incredibly saddened by this….the record industry has to be overhauled….its as simple as that, but, in reality so much harder to put into practice.

This has been happening since the days of Judy Garland, this has to change. The execs that reap the benefits MUST be held accountable for the guardianship of their young talent, held accountable to have professional mental heath experts, and charged with negligence causing death, if they don’t.

Very tragic and sad indeed. No amount of money is worth such an ill fate . The music industry and its draconian policies has much to answer for !

No-one this young should die alone. It's tragic that it was too much too soon for the band, sudden wealth and adulation and no way of coping with it. I really feel for his little son, for Cheryl and for his bandmates, and also his parents who must be rocked to the core. I hope Liam has found peace now. Taken far too soon God bless him.
